Generations in Motion: A Weekend of Growth at IPAMA

If you walked through the doors of IPAMA this past weekend, you didn’t just see a museum—you saw a community in motion. True to our mission as the cultural hub in the heart of the city, our halls were filled with the energy of multiple generations coming together. We were proud to host a Professional Development Series specifically for high school students.

These young leaders spent their time diving into:

  • Career Readiness: Mapping out paths from the classroom to the boardroom.

  • Cultural Literacy: Understanding how their heritage informs their professional identity.

  • Community Leadership: Learning that they don't have to wait for the "future" to make an impact.

Watching these students navigate complex conversations about their futures within a space dedicated to their history was a powerful reminder of why IPAMA exists.

A Picture-Perfect Finish

To cap off a transformative day, the students gathered for a final group photo in front of our signature mural.

There is something symbolic about seeing the faces of the next generation framed by the colors and stories of those who came before them. That mural isn't just a backdrop; it’s a testament to the legacy they are now a part of.

"History is the foundation, but these students are the architects of what comes next."

We want to thank all the families, mentors, and students who made this a resounding success. The "cultural hub" is humming, and we’re just getting started.
