IPAMA continues to grow and flourish. In addition to hosting the back to school event where literally almost a thousand people attended with public officials, including the mayor, the police chief and top officials from state government to encourage youngsters to return to school. IPAMA also was very fortunate during Fellowship Open weekend to host the kickoff of the Fellowship Open. It was a capacity crowd at IPAMA of people there to see the honoring of corporate legends Valerie Daniels Carter and Michelle Hooper. Of course, everyone was thrilled by the presence of Ambassador Andrew Young and Hall of Famer Chris Webber, among others. A whole weekend of activities sponsored by IPAMA, which included legendary Olympians, Tommy Smith and John Carlos and Jackie Joyner-Kersey. To cap the weekend off, the legendary Rev. Elaine Flake delivered a message of hope and inspiration and Dr. Matthews of the African American Museum brought impeccable insight to the importance of history. IPAMA was also fortunate that Andrew Young joined other leading officials in spending time in the Bishop Sedgwick Daniels repository. He was escorted there by Ryan Gray, whose inspiration are created at the repository.
